Sealed Bids will be received by the Village of Shorewood, Wisconsin, in the office of the Director of
Public Works, 3801 N. Morris Blvd. Shorewood Wisconsin 53211, until 10 A.M., C.S.T., Thursday
February 22, 2018, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud for the furnishing of all
labor, materials, and all else necessary for the following:

2018 Valve Replacement Project – Wilson Drive

In general, the work consists of excavation and replacing water distribution system valves.
Approximate project quantities are:
5 EA 12-inch valves
2 EA 8-inch valves
Together with backfilling and temporary roadway restoration, and other related work.

All bidders must complete the Village of Shorewood’s Pre-Qualification Statement and
submit to the DPW office by close of business on February 20, 2018 to be considered for
contract award for this project.

Bid Security in the amount of 5 percent of the amount of the Bid must accompany each Bid in
accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
The Owner reserves the right to retain the deposits of the 3 lowest Bidders for a period not to exceed
90 days after the date and time set for the Opening of Bids. No Bids may be withdrawn for a period of
90 days after the date and time set for the Opening of Bids.
The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive irregularities and informalities therein,
and further reserves the right to award the Contract to the best interests of the Owner.
