INVITATION FOR BIDS

ROOF REPLACEMENT

AT CENTRAL SUPPORT WEST

THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MILWAUKEE, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, will receive sealed bids for furnishing all labor, equipment, and materials and for performing all work necessary and incidental for Official Notice Number 58132 Roof Replacement at Central Support West until 2:00 PM (CDST) on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at the Housing Authority BID DESK, located on the second floor at 650 West Reservoir Avenue, Milwaukee, Wisconsin 53212, when all bids will be publicly opened.

Print copies and electronic files of the bid documents may be obtained beginning Wednesday, February 28, 2024. Bid documents are available through the following website:  www.aegraphics.com.  Interested parties may view bid documents without registering.  Ordering print copies or electronic files of the bid documents requires registering.  Electronic files may be downloaded from the website at no charge to the recipient.  For print copies, there will be no charge for the first set per registered plan holder entity (whether an individual or a business); plan holder entities may order additional sets at their own expense.  For print copies, a separate non-refundable shipping charge will be billed to the recipient (rates vary depending on method of delivery/shipping; contact A/E Graphics Inc. for current rates); print copies may also be held for pick-up by recipient.  For both print copies and electronic files, no deposit is required.  For additional information about the website and obtaining print or electronic documents, contact Steve Wellman of A/E Graphics Inc. at 262-649-3965.

A mandatory pre-bid inspection for prospective bidders is scheduled for Thursday, March 7, 2024. We will meet promptly at 1:00 PM at the Central Support West facility, 5125 West Lisbon Avenue, Milwaukee, WI 53210.  We will gather on the west side of the building on 52nd Street, at the entrance to the upper level of the attached parking structure.  If prospective bidders cannot attend this scheduled mandatory pre-bid inspection, then prospective bidders may contact Glen Radford of the Housing Authority, glen.radford@hacm.org, 414-209-1803, to arrange an alternate date and time for a mandatory inspection of the site before submitting a bid.  Any bid submitted by a bidder that did not attend a pre-bid inspection will be rejected.

 Technical questions regarding the plans, specifications, and scope of work may be directed to Mr. Radford.

 Administrative questions specifically about Emerging Business Enterprises (EBE) and Section 3 requirements may be directed to Konita Jude of the Housing Authority, kpjude@hacm.org, 414-286-2940.  The Housing Authority will assist bidders/contractors in developing a plan to comply with EBE and Section 3 requirements.

 Where appropriate, the bidder must comply with Executive Order 11246, Federal Labor Standards, Equal Opportunity requirements, and related program requirements as detailed in the Contract Documents.
