INVITATION FOR BIDS
ELEVATOR MODERNIZATION
AT MITCHELL COURT 

THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MILWAUKEE, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, will receive sealed bids for furnishing all labor, equipment, and materials and for performing all work necessary and incidental for Official Notice Number 58149 Elevator Modernization at Mitchell Court until 2:00 PM (CST) on Friday, January 31, 2025, at the Housing Authority BID DESK, located on the second floor at 650 West Reservoir Avenue, Milwaukee, Wisconsin 53212, when all bids will be publicly opened. 

Print copies and electronic files of the bid documents may be obtained beginning Friday, January 10, 2025. Bid documents are available through the following website:  www.aegraphics.com.  Interested parties may view bid documents without registering.  Ordering print copies or electronic files of the bid documents requires registering.  Electronic files may be downloaded from the website at no charge to the recipient.  For print copies, there will be no charge for the first set per registered plan holder entity (whether an individual or a business); plan holder entities may order additional sets at their own expense.  For print copies, a separate non-refundable shipping charge will be billed to the recipient (rates vary depending on method of delivery/shipping; contact A/E Graphics Inc. for current rates); print copies may also be held for pick-up by recipient.  For both print copies and electronic files, no deposit is required.  For additional information about the website and obtaining print or electronic documents, contact Steve Wellman of A/E Graphics Inc. at 262-649-3965. 

A pre-bid inspection for prospective bidders is scheduled for Tuesday, January 14, 2025. We will meet promptly at 1:00 PM, at the front entrance of Lincoln Court, 2325 South Howell Avenue, Milwaukee WI 53207.  The pre-bid inspection for Mitchell Court will take place immediately after the first inspection, at 2:30 PM, at the front entrance of 2600 West National Avenue, Milwaukee, WI 53204. If prospective bidders cannot attend this scheduled pre-bid inspection, then prospective bidders may contact Trevor Theissen of Travaux/Housing Authority, trevor.theissen@travauxinc.com, 414-336-0563, to arrange an alternate date and time for an inspection of the site before submitting a bid.  The pre-bid walk-throughs are highly recommended for all bidders including General Contractors, Elevator Contractors, and MEP Subcontractors.

The Housing Authority will assist bidders/contractors in developing a plan to comply with EBE and Section 3 requirements.
